Terms of Use

The rules for using this free tax estimation tool.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing 1099TaxEstimator.tax (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Nature of the Service — Estimates Only

The Site provides free, informational tax estimates based on published 2026 federal and state tax parameters. Results are planning approximations, not tax advice, and do not account for every credit, deduction, local tax, or individual circumstance. The Site is not a substitute for a licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax attorney.

3. No Professional Relationship

Use of the Site does not create an accountant-client or attorney-client relationship. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any tax filing or payment you make.

4. Accuracy & Updates

We source rates from IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32, the Social Security Administration, the Tax Foundation, and state Departments of Revenue, and we update the engine when official figures change. Despite this, errors or lags are possible and figures are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1099TaxEstimator.tax and its operators are not liable for any damages — including underpayment penalties, interest, or losses — arising from use of the Site or reliance on its estimates.

6. Affiliate Disclosure & Advertising

Some outbound links are affiliate links, and the Site may display advertising. We may earn a commission at no cost to you. Affiliate relationships never change the tax math shown.

7. Intellectual Property & Citation

You may cite our data and studies with attribution and a link to the source page. Wholesale reproduction of pages or the calculator code without permission is prohibited.

8. Changes & Contact

We may update these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance. Questions: contact us. Last updated: July 2, 2026.
